- Offset printed in two colors throughout, on custom-made 80# Mohawk Superfine paper.
- Oversized 7x10" pages, smyth sewing.
- Fine Hahnemuhle Bugra endpapers.
- Desert-colored paper made by hand by Zoe Goehring at Cave Paper specially for this edition, to cover the book's exterior.
- Full color dustjacket featuring gritty/sandpaper matte lamination.
- Enclosed in a handmade, cloth-covered, clamshell traycase, with French marbled paper interiors.
- Only 250 copies will be produced: 240 signed by Brin and Kirk, the remaining 10 also "signed" by Frank Herbert (see below detail).
